CNN reports that today the Supreme Court opted not to hear a case which revolved around states’ rights to block federal funding to Planned Parenthood.
The appeal is dismissed for want of jurisdiction.
Only four justices were needed to hear the case, but only three conservative appointed justices wanted to hear the case: Clarence Thomas, Samuel Alito and Neil Gorsuch.
Newly appointed Justice Brett Kavanaugh along with Chief Justice John Roberts sided with the rest of the liberal-appointed court in refusing to take up the case.
Justice Thomas wrote a dissent saying “What explains the Court’s refusal to do its job here? …I suspect it has something to do with the fact that some respondents in these cases are named Planned Parenthood.”
Our position at Abolish Abortion Texas is that we should stop going to the Federal Court hoping they will defend the preborn. They seem to have no interest in even hearing about it.
The federal courts are not the solution to the problem, the federal courts are the problem.
