A listing in this guide is not an endorsement. This guide is simply a list of every candidate who has returned the 2026 AATX Candidate Survey and taken either the Abolitionist Pledge or the Equal Protection Pledge.
What’s the difference between the two pledges?
Candidates who take the Equal Protection Pledge affirm that life begins at conception, that they support Republican Party of Texas principles and platform planks regarding equal protection and abolishing abortion, and commit their support for legislation to abolish abortion by providing equal protection of the laws to preborn children.
Candidates who take the Abolitionist Pledge affirm all five Equal Protection questions plus two additional commitments. They agree NOT to support legislation that violates the U.S. Constitution by denying preborn children the equal protection of the laws or merely regulates abortion as if it were healthcare.

Encourage candidates to take the pledge
If the candidates you support are not listed, please send them this link and encourage them to download and submit our candidate survey so we can add them to the guide. Every candidate who takes the AATX Abolitionist pledge or the AATX Equal Protection pledge will be listed here. It is their choice whether they want their name on here or not.
We will be updating our Voter Guide as new pledge signers come in, so be sure to check back and download the latest version.
