2025 Activism Day + Rally for Equal Protection

We need everyone who cares about preborn Texans to SHOW UP in Austin!
The 89th Texas Legislative Session is now open and HB 2197 has been filed by Rep. Brent Money. This will be the 5th session in a row in which we have had a bill of equal protection filed.
If you’re wondering why we keep filing bills and holding rallies, the answer is simple. Over 50,000 Texas babies are still being murdered through abortion each year, and our current laws don’t stop it from happening.
We must act!

DAY 1: University of Texas Activism Day
TUESDAY, FEBRUARY 18, 2025
Join us for a day of activism on the University of Texas campus. The Foundation to Abolish Abortion is sponsoring this event and the goal is to have at least two dozen activists join us on campus to create a strong presence. Jeff Durbin and Bradley Pierce will be engaging with students in a recorded setting throughout the day.
- Where: University of Texas campus in Austin. Exact location TBD.
- When: Tuesday, February 18, 2025 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
- What: We will be bringing large signs and literature to distribute. This is a great opportunity for you to share the gospel and engage one-to-one with students on the issue of equal protection. We will also have a canopied tabling area where Jeff Durbin and Bradley Pierce will be engaging with students' questions and objections.
- Who: Everyone. You do not have to have experience with this kind of activism. This is a great opportunity for you to try it if you never have.
- RSVP below by February 6 to guarantee your free t-shirt to wear during activism. We will try to accommodate shirts for later RSVPs as well, but cannot guarantee availability. We will communicate additional details about this event to attendees who RSVP below.
DAY 2: Rally for Equal Protection
WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 19, 2025
Come show your support for HB 2197 to abolish abortion in Texas and provide the equal protection of the laws to all preborn children.
Rally Speakers will include:
- Jeff Durbin - Founder, End Abortion Now
- Rep. Brent Money - Bill Champion and Author (R-HD2)
- Bradley Pierce - AATX President and Chairman of the Board
- Phil George - Pastor, Grace Life Church of Dallas
Details
- Where: Texas State Capitol in Austin. Meet on the south steps of the building.
- When: Wednesday, February 19, 2025 at 11:00 AM (followed by citizen lobbying inside the capitol and a hymn-sing in the rotunda at 3:30 PM to close the day)
- What: Rally to support the equal protection bill that will soon be filed in Texas, citizen lobbying after lunch inside the capitol
- Who: You and your friends, families, and church groups
- Bring: Signs that show you support equal protection for babies and wear your abolitionist t-shirts (now is a great time to get a shirt here if you don’t have one)
Parking
Please park in the Capitol Visitors Parking Garage (1201 San Jacinto Blvd, Austin, TX 78701) or the Bob Bullock State History Museum Parking Garage (1800 Congress Ave., Austin, TX 78701)
The Capitol Visitors Parking Garage has a maximum clearance of 8'.
Restrooms
The closest restrooms are inside the State Capitol close to the rotunda. Please be prepared to pass through security.
