2026 RPT Resolution on Abolishing Abortion

Precinct conventions are happening across Texas as early as TONIGHT after the polls close — and you have a direct opportunity to put the Republican Party of Texas on record demanding equal protection for every preborn child.

Here's what we need you to do.

→ Contact your local county party to find out when and where your precinct conventions are being held.

→ Download the resolution on abolishing abortion here and bring it to your precinct convention. Submit it for a vote. If it passes, carry it forward to your County or Senate District Convention on March 28 — and then to the State Convention in Houston, June 11–13.

The path is straightforward:

1️⃣ Precinct ConventionsAS EARLY AS TONIGHT

2️⃣ County or Senate District Conventions — March 28, 2026

3️⃣ Republican Party of Texas State Convention — June 11–13, 2026 in Houston

To find your specific precinct, county, and/or seantate convention times and locations, check your county Republican Party website.

You don't have to commit to all three right now. Showing up for even one or two is a big help. But if you can go the distance, your voice will carry from your neighborhood all the way to Houston.

Why does this resolution matter?

Over 30,000 preborn babies are still being murdered on Texas soil every year. Mothers who order abortion pills online and abort their own babies have complete legal immunity under current Texas law. Texas children remain unprotected because we have not made murdering preborn babies illegal for everyone.

That is what equal protection means. That is what this resolution demands.

RPT Platform and Principles

The Republican Party of Texas already affirms equal protection and abolishing abortion — in both its principles and its party platform. Plank 23 urges lawmakers to abolish abortion by immediately securing equal protection for all preborn children from fertilization, and Plank 195 calls on the Texas Legislature to enact legislation doing exactly that.

These aren't fringe positions. They are clear biblical positions and they are the official, adopted positions of the Republican Party of Texas.

Now it's time to make equal protection a legislative priority.

Help us flood these conventions with abolitionists.
