That is a great number, but we want EVEN MORE!
We only have a couple more days to get as many people to come to or to watch this hearing as possible.
We want this thing to be huge!
If you can come (please!), be sure you have clicked “Going” on the Facebook event.
We will be sharing more details in that event and in another email soon to those coming in person.
Like I said in my last email, though, I know that some of you just will not be able to come in person for very legitimate reasons.
If you absolutely cannot come, can I ask you to do something else?
Can I ask you to give?
First, because organizing this event and making it a success is not going to be free.
Secondly, because every dollar you give right now will help us let more people know about and get more people to the event.
Third, and most importantly, because this is a golden opportunity to recruit more people to this cause, and it takes money to reach them.
Earlier this year, we had more than 1,400 who gave to promote Jeremiah’s Wish.
From those ~1,400 donors, we were able to recruit over 75,000 more people to this cause through the petition to Governor Abbott.
And because those people signed that petition and subscribed to get emails like this one, we have been able to mobilize more than 1,700 people in just a few hours to participate in this important hearing.
Yes, that’s how it works!
That’s what I’m talking about!
That’s why I’m asking those who cannot go to the hearing to please give.
It’s not to pad our pockets, I assure you.
I don’t have anything against paying people for their work, but we’re not accepting any pay right now.
AATX has no employees; we’re volunteers.
Like with those who donated to Jeremiah’s Wish, your donation will give us the fuel we need to recruit even more people to this cause to make the light of our voices burn brighter!
Because more people mobilized for this cause means more people putting pressure on politicians to do the right thing and abolish abortion in Texas!
That’s the way it’s supposed to work, but it only works if we can reach people, and money is just a tool to make that happen.
So if you can go to the hearing, GO!
But, if you can’t, GIVE!
If you just can’t go in person, here’s one idea. . .
Do the math and add up how much it would cost you if you did go (fuel, food, etc.).
Maybe that’s $25. . . maybe it’s $50. . .
Then, since you can’t come, just give that amount to fund this event, help people who can go, get more people to come, and recruit more people to this cause.
How does that sound?
If you still cannot afford that, I understand.
Even $5 would mean a lot.
This is a historic moment and I am so excited that I get to be a part of it with you.
God is doing incredible things, and I look forward to seeing what He does on Monday.
For His glory! For life!
