Earlier this year I had the opportunity to speak to over 2,000 attendees at the annual Founders Ministries conference about how we are created in God’s image from fertilization.
Many of you know this already and agree with me that Scripture makes it abundantly clear that human life begins at fertilization.
But what are our duties in light of that?
Today, we are living during a great genocide of our preborn neighbors. As Christians, we should be asking: What should we do about it?
That’s what I talked about in this message which you can watch in full above 👆
A new kind of genocide…but it’s killing all the same
What many people don’t know is that even though Roe v. Wade has been overturned, abortion has not been ended in Texas or any other state.
And I’m not just talking about Democrat states. I’m talking about ALL 50 states.
Abortion isn’t abolished anywhere in this country…yet.
Every single preborn child may still be murdered before birth legally even in states that the Pro-Life movement is claiming are now abortion free. I’m talking about states like Arkansas Idaho, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, Montana, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Wyoming, and others.
Many of the abortion clinics in these states have closed, but the laws still allow mothers to abort their own babies legally. And they are doing it by the thousands.
I have talked about this before.
Increasing numbers of women are choosing to self-manage their own abortions at home by ordering pills online. In 2023, they no longer need clinics and doctors to perform their abortions. And this method of abortion is LEGAL for women to do since Pro-Life laws contain a MASSIVE loophole that gives mothers complete legal immunity when they perform their own abortion.
According to the New York Times,
“As states banned or restricted abortion this summer, the number of American women ordering abortion pills from overseas jumped significantly — enough to offset most of the drop in legal abortions.
Overall, abortion in the United States declined about 2 percent in the first two full months after the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade.” (emphasis added)
You've probably heard that there are many states where there are no abortions happening. This is wrong. The truth is that there are no REPORTED abortions happening, but preborn children are still being murdered.
The place where children are being aborted has changed. The people managing the abortion procedure may have changed. But babies are still being murdered across our country.
Loving our preborn neighbors
That’s why, at the Founders Ministries conference, I talked about how from the moment of fertilization each of us is called to love our neighbor as ourselves. From the moment of fertilization, we have a new neighbor to love as ourselves.
And in our country, we have a lot of preborn neighbors who are desperately in need of our love. And not just the words be warm and filled, but love—real love, because abortion runs rampant in our land.
This message is critical for our time. I hope you’ll take the time to watch it.
And I hope you are with us in this fight until all of our preborn neighbors are equally protected by law!
For life, for justice, and for the glory of God,
Abolish Abortion Texas
Foundation to Abolish Abortion
