Texas House Bill 896 would completely outlaw abortion in Texas.

However, in order for the bill to become the law, it first has to be approved by the Texas House Judiciary and Civil Jurisprudence committee.

But right now, the chairman of that committee, Rep. Jeff Leach, has yet to publicly announce that the bill will even get a hearing, much less a vote to be approved.

And if the bill does not get a hearing and a vote, it’s dead.
