This is what we said would happen…

Are babies safer in Texas post-Roe?

I recently told you where we are in the fight to abolish abortion now that Roe is gone. And I reminded you how much we still have to do before preborn babies truly have the same protections of the law that born people have.

We MUST not forget the goal. We MUST not start getting complacent.

Babies won’t be truly protected until we have equal protection of the laws for all people, including preborn people.

Yes, Roe was overturned, but how much safer are babies today than two weeks ago?

Some safer?

Safer in some ways… for now. It did get more difficult for abortion clinics to operate in many states.

But babies still may not be as safe as many people think.

Why do I say that? One reason is because the ink had barely dried on the Dobbs decision before the federal government resoundingly confirmed what we have been saying for a while now:

“Women don’t need abortion clinics to get abortions.”

Shortly after Roe was overturned, the federal Department of Health and Human Services released a website telling women they can still get abortions by just ordering pills through the mail. [1]

Government approved mail-order abortion

Though we’ve known this for a long time, it’s now right out in the open for everyone to see. Ordering abortion pills online isn’t hiding in the darker corners of the internet anymore. It’s FDA approved as a legitimate form of “healthcare.”

And this isn’t just a problem on the coasts or in DC. These “self-managed” abortions are happening with the protection of our laws right here at home in Texas as ABC News in Austin reports.

This is one of the many reasons why we must STOP following compromised strategies that trust in worldly wisdom to win this battle.

Right now, in all 50 states, no matter what kind of abortion bans or heartbeat bills or trigger laws went into effect because Roe was overturned, it is still protected conduct for women to willfully abort their preborn babies at home with pills or any other means. And as you can see above, this behavior is being encouraged straight from the Biden Administration.

Exceptions for women for even the most willful homicides are written right into nearly every Pro-Life law that restricts or regulates abortion. Not only are many of these laws written so that they only protect some babies, but they are also written so that the prohibitions only apply to some people. That is what the Bible calls partiality, which God says He hates.

These exceptions are wrong, plain and simple. And because of them, even in a post-Roe world, we still have FDA-approved mail-order abortion on demand, no matter what state you’re in.

We MUST reject these worldly-wise strategies and commit ourselves to fighting the evil of abortion by doing God’s will God’s way and trusting Him for the results.

That means we fight for EQUAL PROTECTION for our preborn neighbors and nothing less.

As you can see, we have a lot of work left to do.

We plan to be in this battle all the way to the finish. We want to keep working until abortion is completely abolished and the equal protection of the laws is provided to EVERY SINGLE BABY in the womb.

That’s why our donors are absolutely CRITICAL to the work of abolishing abortion.
