Abortions haven’t stopped in Texas, we just stopped being able to count them as easily.

Babies are still being murdered right here on Texas soil. And what’s going on is LEGAL.

I’m not talking about cloak and dagger, backalley abortions. They don’t have to be backalley because killing babies is still legal through all nine months of pregnancy.

You see, there is a MASSIVE loophole in nearly every Pro-Life law. We have been pointing this out for years and few people wanted to see it. The moment of truth has arrived now that Texas has supposedly banned abortion completely.

It’s in headlines all across the nation that Texas is now an “abortion-free” state.

Sounds great, right?

Except it’s not true.

Texas is not free of abortion. In fact, because of the loopholes written into Pro-Life laws, it is actually legal for mothers to kill their own babies by abortion all the way up to the moment of birth!

It says it right there in the laws that are on the books. No mother is subject to our abortion laws when she commits her own abortion. And they are doing it.

We know that women are performing self-induced (a/k/a self-managed) medication abortions by ordering pills online and having them delivered to their homes. This is no secret. It doesn’t have to be a secret because it isn’t illegal for women to do this.

While abortionists and abortion clinics have been largely banned from Texas, abortion itself is alive and well.

So, where do we go from here?

That’s what I talked about in a recent sermon with a church who wanted to understand how to love their preborn neighbors better now that Roe v. Wade has been overturned.

This is an important message.

We can’t give up now. Babies are still dying and we must keep fighting until they are equally protected by law.
