Please don’t look away. Watch ‘The Procedure’ from Choice42

There are stories that need to be told. The video above is one of them.

People have been looking away from this for too long. Don’t be one of them. I beg you not to look away…

When our friends at Choice42 sent me the pre-release of their animated short, The Procedure, and I sat down to watch it for the first time, I got a minute into it and decided I wasn’t ready.

A few days later, I turned it on again to finish it. Even so, just 30 more seconds into it and I pressed pause again, not wanting to finish. But I HAD to finish watching it.

I had to face this. I could not ignore this.

I knew about abortions. I had seen graphic images.

But I had not seen THIS one.

This girl was an individual human being. Her death mattered.

And it should keep mattering, just as much as the 65+ million others in this country over the last 50 years.

I could not ignore this little girl’s death or look away to make myself feel better by remaining in my comfortable ignorance.

I pressed play again.

This time I watched until the end, my body shuddering and recoiling the whole way through, but not as much as hers.

This little girl was just as human as I am, and she deserved to be equally protected from such violence by the same laws that protect me, but she wasn’t.

God have mercy upon us. And may He awaken true love, compassion, and righteous indignation in every person who watches this.

I ended it in tears.

If you watch it through to the end, you may too.

And that’s okay… good even. The Bible says, “Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.”

This innocent little girl deserves our tears. So mourn for her, and the evil that was done to her. But she deserves more than our tears.

She deserves action and our relentless resolve to end the slaughter completely. Whether precious lives are taken with surgical tools or pills, and whether it happens in clinics or at home, it MUST END.

After you watch the video above, please SHARE IT.

We cannot compromise with this evil. We must not. God help us.

For life, for justice, and for the glory of God,
