I am sure you heard that the evil, unconstitutional Roe v. Wade opinion was OVERTURNED this morning by the Supreme Court of the United States when they issued their decision in the Dobbs v. Jackson case. I will be doing a livestream at 12:30 this afternoon to talk more about this. Replay the livestream above.
Praise God for His mercy!
By the standard of God’s Word, we deserve His judgment.
I don’t say that lightly or to rob the joy from this good news because it is very good news.
But the truth is that we allowed more than 63 million precious children to be murdered on our watch under the protection of our laws. For 49 years we chose to willingly submit to an evil decision of a lawless court INSTEAD of obeying God and the Constitution.
The result of our cowardice in standing up against evil can be counted in millions of murdered precious image bearers of God. Their innocent blood stains our land from coast to coast.
That is our history.
But today we see that God is gracious and abundant in lovingkindness.
Glory be to Him!
We give thanks to God for casting down the ungodly and idolatrous decree in Roe v. Wade.
The legal brief we submitted in the Dobbs case urged the Court to do its duty before God and under the Constitution and overturn Roe.
And they have done exactly that today.
What the Court didn’t do is provide preborn people the equal protection of the laws as the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution requires.
So there is still much work to be done.
In spite of some states having “Trigger Bans” in place that go into effect shortly after Roe is overturned, NOT ONE SINGLE STATE has completely abolished abortion and provided equal protection for babies in the womb.
We still have NOT followed the Golden Rule toward our preborn neighbors.
God has been merciful to us and to our country. We must not take His mercy for granted.
Now is the time for repentance. We must humbly acknowledge our sin and our failures of the last 49 years. We must weep for the millions of innocent children murdered on our watch.
Now, more than ever, it is time for us to repent and turn to God, performing deeds in keeping with repentance (Acts 26:20).
Please join me, other members of the AATX team, and special guests LIVE for a special broadcast at 12:30 Central today!
We will be talking about what this decision means and what the work ahead of us looks like now (See replay above).
For life, for justice, and for the glory of God,
